We have had a long-standing love affair with Gwithian, with many fond memories or camping trips at Churchtown Farm.

Fast-forward to the summer of 2018 and we decided to upgrade from tent to chalet and stayed in one of the neighbouring beach chalets - a wonderful chilled out week where we washed away the stresses and agreed it was one of the best holidays we’d ever had. So the idea sparked to one day get our very own beach chalet.

Not long after a fortuitous chain of events meant that we were able to find a rather humble and somewhat sad looking chalet. And soon after the neighbouring chalet too. So 2019 saw us undertake an exciting self-build project that started as a quick renovation and escalated to a total demolish and re-build, transforming a pair of run-down chalets into a beautiful modern beach house. We took a year out to self-build the house and enjoyed doing it ourselves.
